Romax presents poster at forthcoming Future Powertrain Conference 2017

With multiple pressures pushing the industry to meet ever tighter emission regulations, the need to develop and implement new technology is increasing all the time and the inherent risks can only be mitigated by a better understanding of the technology.

Romax will be presenting its range of developed solutions for improving gearbox and axle efficiency, all validated with test data, that include:

  • Optimisation of gear macro- and micro-geometry for efficiency, durability, and NVH
  • Use of CFD in the design process to inform and improve the design
  • Consideration of lubricant data in efficiency calculations – this new capability is now available in RomaxDesigner software

The two-day event intends to bring together industry and academics within the powertrain development field to discuss the challenges faced by the engineering industry and possible solutions.
